I'm enjoying myself on my exchange program in France. It's even better than I thought it would be.
I was a bit nervous before I arrived here, but there was no reason to be. My host family is really nice. They go out of their way to make me feel at home. And you wouldn't believe how quickly my French has improved! I'm very comfortable speaking French now. Although I still make lots of mistakes, it doesn't bother me as it used to.
My biggest challenge is learning how to behave at the dinner table. As you can imagine, things are really not the same as the way they are at home. For example, you're not supposed to put your bread on your plate. You're supposed to put it on the table！I thought that was pretty strange at first, but now I'm used to it. You're not supposed to eat anything with your hands except bread, not even fruit! (You have to cut it up and eat it with a fork.)
Another thing is that it is very rude to say you're full. If you don't want any more food, you should just say, "It was delicious." Also, it's rude to put your hands in your lap. You should always keep your hands, but not your elbows, on the table.
I have to say, I find it difficult to remember everything, but I'm graally getting used to things and don't find them so strange any more.

目前，對我最大的挑戰是餐桌禮儀。這兒的規矩可跟家裡的大不一樣，想必你也略知一二。比方說，你應該把麵包放在桌子上，而不是盤子里。一開始，我感覺這怪怪的，可現在已經習慣了。除了吃麵包，其它所有的東西你都不能用手拿著吃，連吃水果也不行。（你得先把它切成塊，然後再用叉子叉進嘴裡。）
還有，直接說「我飽了」是很失禮的，要是你確實不想再吃了，可以說「這真好吃！」同樣，把手放在大腿上也是缺乏教養的動作，就餐過程中，你的手要始終放在桌面上，但是千萬別把肘關節也支在桌面上。
我得承認，一下子記住這么多真的挺難，可我正在慢慢適應，至少再也不會感覺這些規矩是怪怪的了。
