Last Sunday we went to visit the Old People's Home. We set out early in the morning and brought them lots of warmness. We gave them many books and lots of fruits. We talked with them happily and told them lots of interesting stories. We helped them wash their clothes and clean the rooms. We even taught them how to use computers. We were very happy and so were the old. When we had to say goodbye to them, they really didn't want us to go. They thanked us a lot and we really moved by them. Although we did very little,it meant a lot to the old. So next time, if we had chance, we would come again.
Student Volunteers Brought Sunshine to the Elderly
On May Day, Li Yue and Zhang Hua, students from Class Three, Crade Two, went to Sunshine Nursing
Home and did some voluntary work. Upon their arrival, Li Yue and Zhang Hua were warmly welcomed, and
respectfully they presented the elderly with flowers and fruits. Then, they started working at once, cleaning
the windows and sweeping the floor. Everything done, they sat in the yard chatting with the elderly people.
When it was time for the volunteers to leave, the elderly people thanked them for their kindness. They said
it was such a beautiful day that they would remember it forever.
Li Yue and Zhang Hua were very happy. What they did has brought joy to others and enriched their own
lives.

My Summer time work at an Old Folks' Home
Since summer I have volunteered at an old folk’ home because I saw how lonely some of the residents were. I volunteered two days a week ring the summer, which I have continued. I have learned many things about nursing homes.
During my volunteer time at the old folks’ home, I have taken old folks for walk and read them letters from their children. We also have birthday parties and exercise days.
I have had many good experiences volunteering at the old folks home. My volunteer experience has shown me that I can bring joy to older people. Everyone will have to face having parents and grandparents growing older and becoming dependent on their children. Dealing with this situation has made me a stronger and more caring person.

Although, these old people living in nursing homes, seems alright, environment also sounds good, but, every day every night at miss their own family, very sad, no family care, very poor! Now, in my eyes, like a lonely old people, weak and innocent birds, they need help, care and love, and considerate. But, just so that it is not enough, we need more people, do more, for all the old people of the world, to create a more beautiful home, and I will let them know, there are not relatives, but better than loved ones still care about them, love them, help them, considerate them!!
