在路上，表弟問我什麼時候學上抖空竹的，我知道我並不會，但為了不丟面子，同時也急於想顯擺一下，我竟然坐在自行車上玩起來。結果可想而知，空竹打在自行車輪上，在加上表弟剛學上騎車和「糟糕」的心理素質，並且還是下坡，造成自行車失控，一路飛馳而下。就在我們幾乎絕望的時候，自行車「遇」到阻力神奇地停了下來，睜眼一看，只見那位「常見的」老環衛工人，一手緊緊地抓住車頭，一手攬著我的腰，讓自行車斜靠在他腹部，表弟情急之下，下意識的摟住他的脖子，因此，我們和自行車毫發無損，但是，那位環衛工人的褲子被腳踏板刮撕開，腳踝上也留下一道血口。我們本以為肯定要被狠狠地批評，甚至要賠償些什麼，可是只聽到「你們沒事吧，以後騎車小心點，千萬不要在車上玩耍，早點回家！」。
望著微瘸著離開的背影，連一聲「謝謝」的回饋都沒有得到，小說中，每位英雄的出世都伴隨著雷雨交加，每位英雄的出現都呈現出高大威猛，每位英雄的事跡都描述的出神入化。而面前的這位平凡的環衛工人，並沒有如此的氣勢和氣質，但他的行為依然值得稱頌，得到我們尊敬。社會分工不同，每個人都有自己的價值，應該得到別人的理解和尊重，即便你不認同，但他們的價值依然璀璨的存在。你我都是平凡人，但平凡不等於平庸，我們都應為這個社會貢獻我們的價值，這個社會才會更和諧，更美好。
